Call for Music Creators and Composers
Red Sky's Indigenous Music Creators Project is an innovative, music-driven initiative that supports professional and emerging Aboriginal music creators and composers that seek to create and/or score music for dance and theatre. This project will provide a stimulus to Aboriginal musicians, singers, music creators and composers in a highly interactive and intimate learning environment.

Red Sky will participate in the Circle of Dance, a benefit in celebration of dance at the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of the American Indian. Honouring Native American creativity in dance, Red Sky Associate Artist Jacob Pratt (Dakota/Saulteaux) will perform an exciting hoop solo. This celebration also includes Master of Ceremonies, Jock Soto (Navajo) and special guest auctioneer Hattie Kauffman (Nez Perce) on October 4, 2012 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm in New York City.

Red Sky will perform at the Prismatic Festival, a national arts festival featuring 47 performances from across Canada. Prismatic brings new work by culturally diverse artists into the spotlight. Hosted by The Banff Centre, this two-day symposium from September 13 – 15, 2012 brings together 175 Indigenous community leaders from across Canada, United States, Australia and New Zealand to share and learn from stories of success and best practices from Alberta, across Canada and beyond.
