Red Sky at Night galas and events showcase spectacular evenings of live music, dance, and theatre from a line-up of outstanding national and international Indigenous performers. Red Sky at Night brings together Indigenous cultures from around the globe as well as artists at the intersection of new performance.
Red Sky at Night was launched in October 2003 to a sold-out house at Little Italy's hotspot, Revival. An exciting mix of well-known artists and media were in attendance including Tom Hill, Amos Key, Susan Aglukark, Sandra Laronde, Molly Johnson, Lorraine Segato and George Leach, among others.
The second Red Sky at Night took place in August 2004 at the Carlu, a 850-seat concert hall, once again to a sold-out house. It featured Canada's Tomson Highway, Susan Aglukark, George Leach, Amos Key Jr, and Lisa Odjig, Peru's Patricia Cano and Greenland's Makka Kleist. The evening featured thrilling excerpts from Red Sky's celebrated works performed by Sandra Laronde, Carlos Rivera, Jonathan Fisher, Rick Sacks, and Rick Shadrach Lazar.
