PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER
RED SKY PERFORMANCE is seeking an experienced Production Stage Manager for a regional tour of our award-winning production, Mistatim, in the spring of 2023.
WHEN: April 12 to May 4, 2023
(includes one week of rehearsals in Toronto and performances on the road)
WHERE:
We will tour Mistatim to theatre venues and schools in Guelph, Kingston, Brantford, Mississauga, and Oakville, Ontario.

An unforgettable story of reconciliation, Mistatim is about the taming of a wild horse and the truest of friendships. We have toured live performances of Mistatim to over 1 million children.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Both Equity and non-Equity PSMs are encouraged to apply. Touring experience, TYA experience, and a valid driver’s license are required.
Fee is commensurate with experience. $950 – $1100. Travel, accommodation and per diem are offered outside of GTA. Four people, including PSM, will tour.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
The Production Coordinator directly supports Red Sky’s productions, touring, and events implementation. This position will enable the Production Coordinator to develop new skills and extend his or her knowledge of production coordination in arts and culture with one of Canada’s leading Indigenous organizations.
The Production Coordinator requires a deep commitment to and engagement with Red Sky’s artistic goals and company ethos, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and an excellent work ethic. The Production Coordinator will be guided by Red Sky’s mission: To create inspiring experiences of contemporary Indigenous arts and culture that transform society in meaningful ways.
The Production Coordinator will be dynamic, action-oriented and act as a primary liaison for artists, presenters, schools, and communities.
The Production Coordinator will support tour and event coordination including scheduling, budgeting, logistics, travel, accommodation, and artist liaising; assisting with community projects such as REDTalks, corporate events, and other special projects.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Coordinate planning and logistics for Red Sky productions, touring, projects, corporate events, workshops, special and cultivation events.
- Co-curate and coordinate the REDTalks Arts Series and Red Sky at Night events.
- Liaise with the Executive & Artistic Director and the General Manager on production personnel regarding schedules, budgets, travel, accommodation and all production requirements including sets, props and costume, music and video.
- Liaise with venues, presenters, agents and partner organizations involved in touring of Red Sky productions and events.
- Support the promotion of Red Sky productions, tours, and events (live and digital) for Red Sky’s social media and digital platforms.
- Develop and support the marketing and communications strategies and outcomes of Red Sky including, but not limited to, writing, and editing e-newsletters, e-blasts, press releases, social media stories and activity promotions.
- Monitor budgets, tracking revenues and expenses for production and touring activities, and tracking receipts/invoices/payments for processing.
- Support the preparation, writing and budgeting of travel grants and for funding submissions and presentations to sponsors and donors.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders and partners interested in working with Red Sky and communicate these opportunities to the Executive & Artistic Director.
- Work collaboratively to develop processes and outcomes that have integrity, depth of meaning and experience, and a tangible cultural sensibility that is uniquely Red Sky.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid model of working remotely and at the Red Sky office.
Duration of Contract: 2 years with the possibility to renew

Salary Range: $60,000 to $68,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Vacation: 10 days per annum plus 3 days at Christmas

DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER
The Digital Content Producer will manage a coordinated strategic approach to digital content creation and dissemination and bring proven and innovative approaches to digital content creation with a strong knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies for Red Sky. The Digital Content Producer requires a deep commitment to and engagement with Red Sky’s artistic goals and company ethos, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and excellent work ethic.
The Digital Content Producer will be guided our mission: To create inspiring experiences of contemporary Indigenous arts and culture that transform society in meaningful ways by creating and managing the production and multimedia outputs across digital platforms, social media, apps and the company website.
The Digital Content Producer will learn and apply fundamental principles for engagement and generate innovative, relevant content and ideas that will attract audiences through distinctive multimedia content, integrated with social media and campaigns.
The Digital Content Producer will gain a deeper and clearer understanding of the performance environment, with a particular understanding of the contemporary Indigenous arts perspective.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and produce strong multimedia content in alignment with Red Sky’s vision, values and goals, with strong engagement.
- Support the Company’s goal to seize opportunities to innovate, develop and amplify the Company’s programming and profile through digital initiatives.
- Develop a strategic digital plan, a blueprint that pro-actively generates innovative, relevant content that will attract audiences through distinctive multimedia content, integrated with social media and campaigns.
- Develop the Company’s style guide relevant in the digital space and champion proper use of the Red Sky Brand Identity across all marketing and digital channels.
- Create and manage the production and multimedia outputs across digital platforms, social media campaigns, apps, and the company’s website.
- Provide best-practice multimedia content to drive growth and engagement on our social media channels, drive traffic to our website, and drive app downloads.
- Support the technical and virtual needs of REDTalks and other digital programming including corporate events, workshops, and cultivation events in association with Red Sky’s Artistic Director.
- Manage Red Sky’s Vimeo OTT and RedSkyTV platforms including assets, events, registrations, contact lists, ticketing, and sales reports.
- Support Red Sky’s marketing and communications output including writing and editing e-newsletters, e-blasts, and press releases.
- Liaise with Red Sky partners to ensure cross-organizational synchronicity between brands and digital strategies.
- Oversee shoots, video edits and photography to a high quality in a tight turn-around.
- Build and maintain the Company’s digital asset database.
- Monitor social and web-based analytics, and track and report on performance of digital campaigns.
- Stay informed of industry creative trends and keep multimedia production elements ‘on-trend’.
