Adizokan is a genre-defying new creation featuring Indigenous vocals, electro-acoustic, and orchestral music, with dance and film. Red Sky Performance partnered with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra on this World Premiere that explores Indigenous connections to ancestral origins, featuring 70 musicians plus guest vocalists and dancers.

Since Adizokan premiered with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, the work has also been performed with the Caribbean Philharmonic at the International Festival of Mayan Culture in Mexico, Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Regina Symphony Orchestra, and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

We have both a large orchestral 45-minute version and a 22-minute suite version.

Commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra

“Adizokan is an explosive combustion of genre-bending cultural forces which pack an emotional wallop able to carry us well into the future and beyond.” – The Free Press
