Red Sky General Audition - May 27, 2010

Red Sky Performance will hold a general audition in search of dancers and actors to participate in our upcoming seasons and highly successful productions. For information on our productions and upcoming projects, please visit our production page.
Application Deadline: Audition spaces are limited so please apply now. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Late applications will be received as spaces permit.
What to prepare:
Dancers: Prepare a three-minute dance excerpt and expect to perform a two-minute improvisation.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age and over.
- Applicants must have at least two years experience in professional contemporary dance.
- Ability to sing is an asset.
- Able to tour within Canada and overseas.
Actors: Prepare two contrasting monologues (one dramatic three-minute monologue and one comedic three-minute monologue).
- Applicants must be 18 years of age and over.
- Ability to move, dance and sing is an asset.
- Applicants must have at least two years experience in professional theatre.
- Able to tour within Canada and overseas.
What to bring:
You must bring a copy of your CV and an artist headshot or photo to the audition.
Dancers and actors who are not able to audition in person may submit a five- to eight-minute video (DVD or CD) and an artist photo, in addition to a resume outlining their performance history.

All international and Canadian Indigenous dancers are invited to apply. Preference will be given to Aboriginal performers (including First Nations, Metis and Inuit), but all qualified actors and dancers are encouraged to audition. Administrative Assistant Volunteer - June 2010
Red Sky Performance is in search of a part-time volunteer who would be available one day per week, or 5 hours per week. With Red Sky entering into the creative process of two exciting new shows, Red Sky would like to extend the opportunity of working with a vastly growing theatre and dance company to candidates who express interest with the following abilities and characteristics:
- Student, non-student
- Flexible and friendly
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented; self-motivated
- Solid understanding of MAC computers and relevant software- proficient in Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritize, exercise sound judgement, and function within tight deadlines
- Effective and efficient teamwork
- Ability to work in cross-cultural settings
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment
